1. Quality Commitment
MEL is committed to delivering professional, reliable and responsible recruitment and staffing services to candidates, workers and client organisations.
Quality is considered an essential part of how MEL recruits people, manages placements, supports workers and develops relationships with clients.
2. Our Quality Principles
MEL aims to ensure that its services are:
- professional;
- consistent;
- responsive;
- candidate-focused;
- client-focused;
- compliant;
- transparent; and
- continuously improving.
3. Candidate Experience
MEL aims to provide candidates with clear information about vacancies, recruitment requirements and relevant next steps.
Candidates should be treated respectfully throughout the recruitment process regardless of whether they are ultimately selected for a role.
4. Worker Experience
MEL aims to provide temporary and placed workers with appropriate assignment information, communication and support.
Workers should have appropriate channels for reporting concerns relating to assignments, safety, treatment, pay or welfare.
5. Client Experience
MEL aims to understand client requirements and provide candidates whose available qualifications, experience and compliance status are appropriate for the relevant vacancy.
6. Recruitment Quality
MEL will seek to maintain appropriate recruitment and compliance processes, which may include identity, right to work, qualifications, references, DBS, professional registration, training and other role-specific checks.
7. Sector-Specific Quality
Different sectors require different controls. MEL will consider the requirements associated with healthcare, hospitality, logistics, facilities management, cleaning, security and other roles it recruits for.
8. Compliance
MEL is committed to complying with applicable recruitment, employment, equality, data protection, health and safety, safeguarding and other legal requirements relevant to its activities.
9. Communication
MEL aims to provide timely and clear communication to candidates, workers and clients and to ensure that material changes to assignments are communicated appropriately.
10. Complaints and Feedback
Complaints and feedback are considered opportunities to identify weaknesses and improve services.
MEL will seek to respond to complaints appropriately and use relevant learning to improve its processes.
11. Continuous Improvement
MEL will periodically review its services, recruitment processes, compliance controls, candidate experience and client feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
12. Quality Assurance
This Quality Policy is supported by MEL's separate Quality Assurance Policy, which provides a more detailed framework for monitoring, auditing, checking and improving operational quality.
13. Responsibilities
MEL Management has overall responsibility for promoting this quality commitment.
Employees and contractors are expected to perform their responsibilities professionally, follow relevant procedures and raise concerns where service quality may be compromised.
14. Records
Relevant quality records, complaints, audits and improvement actions will be maintained where appropriate and handled in accordance with data protection requirements.
15. Review
This policy will be reviewed at least annually and whenever there is a significant change to MEL's services, legal obligations or operating model.
